Prevention of risks at crane operations at wind loadings in ports
The paper contains some recommendations on installation of wind measuring devices and the technique of drawing up a wind card. The recommendations have been worked out for prevention risks of crane operation and for increasing cranes' efficiency at wind loadings.

Numerical modelling of feasible wind loads for operational status of travel mechanisms of gantry crane "Hanz"
The paper presents the established allowable wind loads for the operational status of the mechanism of movement depending on the loading arm and the rotation angle of the crane to the wind direction, the effect of the state of runways on the safety of the crane has been determined.

Safety of transfer operations in seaports at increased wind loads
The paper presents main results of research on the effects of wind loads on the gantry cranes during loading and unloading operations in seaports. The main indicators determining the safety of loading operations have been given. Permissible wind speeds for the operational status of gantry cranes securing safety of loading operations have been obtained with the help of numerical simulation.

Safety of port cranes' operation in gale-strength wind
The characteristics of anemometers as wind instruments of port cranes protection in terms of their reliability, proper setup and calibration have been considered. The requirements for crane anemometers have been defined. The recommendations for installation of anemometers in the port have been given.
